As a significant event on the Pearl Beach yearly calendar, this year’s annual Book Fair promises to be no exception, so be early to snap up that special book bargain.  Now in its 42nd year, the event is the largest single fundraising activity with proceeds going toward the memorial hall repairs and upkeep.

Book Fair Co-ordinator Victoria Crawford says.  “Want a good read? Come along to the annual Easter Saturday Book Fair at Pearl Beach Memorial Hall.  We have thousands of books – general fiction, classics, crime and horror, travel, gardening, cooking, health, craft and art among others. Plus beautiful coffee table books and children’s books and puzzles.  There are also lots of CDs, DVDs and vinyl records.  Books ranged from just $2:00.

Lynne Lillico, member of the Pearl Beach Progress Association comments.  “We are extremely grateful for these wonderful book donations and believe that the fair is an additional attraction for the locals and visitors to Pearl Beach ”. She continues, “The buzz of the crowd adds to the festive atmosphere, providing the perfect environment to search out those special book bargains”.

The book fair will also promote and sell collectables with exciting treasures, and pre-loved items to be found.

Once again there will be the traditional homemade cake stall and jams providing that special treat which is always a sell-out, so come early to avoid disappointment!.

The popular cafe on the back deck will be serving delicious refreshments and lunch at reasonable prices.
