WDG presents “The Odd Couple” (Female Version)

TOC Flyer Front

If you saw Wyong Drama Group inc’s riotously funny Vicar of Dibley last year, then here is another chance to enjoy the comedic talents of Jillian Logan. Audiences loved Jillian as the Vicar and now she shows her remarkable theatrical range as the director of WDG inc’s next production: Neil Simon’s hilarious The Odd Couple (Female Version).

We all know the male version, but don’t believe you’ve seen it all! Simon’s most popular play has been re-gendered with Oscar and Felix becoming Olive and Florence, two complex and complicated women navigating the pitfalls of  women in the 1980’s. Jillian brings out the warmth, spirit and heart and the wit of those cracking one-liners, showcasing the exceptional talents of actresses on the Central Coast

The Odd Couple (Female Version) brings to the stage some of the WDG inc’s seasoned performers as well as some brand new faces. Shayne Leslie (Calamity Jane in WMTC’s production) heads up the fantastic cast as Olive Madison with Sally Bartley (WDG inc’s The Children’s Hour) playing her counterpart, the ever tense Florence Unger. Who doesn’t love a game of Trivial Pursuit? Olive’s New York apartment is all but dull when her friends come around for an evening of fun, laughter and difficult questions. The night takes an unexpected turn and Olive ends up with a housemate. The comedy and drama continues when the Spanish brothers who live in the building are added to the mix.

This ‘Odd Couple’ hits The Arthouse stage on the 16th of March with a combination of matinee and evening performances over that weekend and the following weekend. Do not miss your chance to see this hilarious show.
