Premier Ensemble Concert – Students Showcase their achievements

Premier Ensemble Concert – Students Showcase their achievements on Friday 22 September, Gosford Anglican Church, 3 Mann Street Gosford, from 7pm to 9pm

Central Coast Conservatorium Youth Orchestra headline a concert featuring the top graded ensembles with over 90 students aged 8 to 21 years from the Conservatorium.

Including a reprisal of music from the acclaimed Australian premier of “Calling All Dawns”.

To be held on Friday 22 September at the Gosford Anglican Church, 3 Mann St, Gosford from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Four times a year the Conservatorium presents a massed concert at the Anglican Church featuring its top level student ensembles.  The Premier Ensembles concert will feature the Central Coast Youth Orchestra, CC Primary Wind Ensemble, and CC Symphonic Wind Orchestra.

The Central Coast Children’s Choir and the senior choir, Katandra Voices, together with the Central Coast Philharmonia Choir and the Youth Orchestra will present music from the recent Art House Wyong concert, “Calling All Dawns”.

Taiko drumming by the Conservatorium’s Percussion Ensemble, headed up by drum teacher and Taiko specialist Sean Steele will be a highlight.

Over 90 students aged between 8 and 21 will showcase their achievements.

“Being part of a large ensemble gives members a sense of belonging. It nurtures responsibility, the discipline to show up, to be prepared and have practiced the piece being play. It’s about team work,” says Artistic Director Patrick Brennan, Conductor of the Youth Orchestra.

The Conservatorium is currently open for Expressions of Interest for 2018 Enrolments.

For students wishing to join an Ensemble, auditions will be held on Saturday 25 November.  More information and Audition Forms are available on the website

The Conservatorium of Music is the Coast’s premiere music school and offers a holistic program of music education, including private lessons, musicianship (or theory) classes, AMEB and HSC exam preparation, ensembles, assessments, scholarships, workshops and masterclasses.
